The high quality of publications is primarily a result of hard work of Authors but there are also several people whose names are not published even though their effort is very important to the final shape of the publications. Associate Editors belong definitely to this group of people. We notice the importance of their work and every year we select a number of our Outstanding Associate Editors, which we distinguish by a certificate and a memento handed out at the Committee on Metrology and Scientific Instrumentation of Polish Academy of Sciences conference’s award ceremony. Additionally, to let the contribution of these people be known to our scientific community we include their names on the list of people of outstanding merit for our journal. These are the Associate Editors, which demonstrated an outstanding performance in terms of their punctuality, number of papers edited, and the quality of their work.
